Rodrigo Vaghi World Championships 2010

Rodrigo Vaghi (4th degree Rickson Gracie black belt) completes his comeback after more than 10 years without competing by winning the 2010 black belt world championships in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Vaghi submitted 3 out of 4 opponents with classic submissions including 2 chokes and 1 knee on belly submission.

ABOUT ST CHARLES MMA
St. Charles MMA is the premier Mixed Martial Arts and Jiu-Jitsu school in the St. Louis area. We provide instruction and intensive training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, wrestling, boxing, and then combine these arts into our mixed martial arts classes. Whether you are the casual practitioner looking for a way to get in shape, or a fighter wanting the best training possible, St. Charles MMA will be able to provide the services any individual would want.

St. Charles MMA is an affiliate of Rodrigo Vaghi Martial Arts located in Fenton Missouri. Rodrigo Vaghi is the owner of Vaghi Martial Arts and head of it's Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Program. Rodrigo is a 4th Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and an official representative of the Rickson Gracie.

St. Charles MMA is owned and operated by Mike Rogers. Mike is the first black belt under Rodrigo Vaghi. Mike Rogers has been traning under Rodrigo Vaghi since 1997. Mike was also an All American wrestler at SIUE graduating with a teaching degree, 2 time Golden Gloves Boxing Champion under the guidance of Jim Howell, and former #1 ranked light heavyweight contender in King of the Cage. Mike has a record of 14-3 in MMA with wins over such top-notch fighters as Travis Fulton and Greg Wikan. He is the former head wrestling coach at McCluer high school, coaching 5 state place finishers including Tyron Woodley to a undefeated senior season at 48-0, placing 1st in the state and 3rd in the country. Mike was also the assistant wrestling coach at Meramec junior college for 2 seasons.
